Employers appreciate employees with goals, BUT are not looking for someone who is going to be unhappy in the position or want to move along too quickly. Stay focused on the position.
Why are you leaving your current job? Why did you leave your previous position? Never say anything negative about your past boss or employer.
How would your peers describe you? Focus on your positive personality traits relevant to the position.
What is the most challenging aspect of your current position? Be honest, but be prepared to discuss how you overcame this challenge. Be a problem solver, how you controlled the situation and took initiative.
What are the positive aspects of your current position? Be prepared to discuss your company’s strengths.
What were your greatest accomplishments in your previous position? Try to focus on accomplishments that are relevant to the job at hand.
What was the most difficult situation in your past position and how was it handled? Try to talk about a difficult situation that ended with a positive outcome or learning experience. Make it relevant to the position for which you are interviewing.
